We Put Plasma To Work For You TM
The family of DBD Series Power Supplies and available accessories encompass several technologies suited for a wide range of applications. The DBD-5000 Atmospheric Plasma System is capable of stably operating at up to 5000 watts (higher power available upon request) in air at atmospheric pressure, treating up to a 2580 sq. cm (400 sq. in.) surface area. Voltage and frequency are both monitored in real-time and are precision-controlled with 10-turn potentiometers, and can be adjusted prior to ignition or during the plasma treatment. The activation of the plasma can be operated manually, or can be automated with the included timer module. Facilities for remote activation of the interlock and timer are supplied standard, with other automation features available on request. Several electrode topologies and gas input systems are available, providing a vast array of potential applications.
The DBD-300 has been designed to produce uniform plasma in situations requiring a relatively low overall power output. This allows for a self-contained power supply unit capable of stably operating at up to 300 watts at atmospheric pressure, treating up to a 230 sq. cm (36 sq. in.) surface area. Available with any of the standard features of the DBD-5000, the DBD-300 has been designed in conjunction with a number of unique fixtures that are especially useful when working with plastic substrates.
Unlike our infinitely-configurable DBD line, the Plasma-Flux™ unit has been developed as a workhorse unit engineered specifically and exclusively for use as a Plasma Torch. With its built-in, handheld “Plasma Pen”, the Plasma-Flux is the quickest way to bring Atmospheric Plasma into your process. By factory-calibrating it to your required power range (1 to 15 kilowatt) and available source gas (compressed air, nitrogen, helium, etc.), the Plasma Flux unit ships custom-tuned for your application. The net result is a simplified interface, leaving the operator free to focus on the particular surface treatment or etching process at hand.
